Collectors would be aware that the recent Amnesty for Registration and surrender of unlicenced weapons concluded on May 31 2009. It was previously announced that inspections of firearms and safekeeping by Police would follow.  Whilst there is no certainty that these inspections will proceed, mambers should ensure that their Safekeeping complies with the existing requiremants undeer the legislation.

The society has now received advice from the Shooter's Party that a list of Cartridges deemed "Not to be commercially available" has been gazetted.  A copy of the list is available by clicking on the attached link.  The society would like members to peruse the list and make suggestions as to ommissions and errors etc. These should be addressed to the Secretary, AACSA, care of  GPO Box 5156, SYDNEY.
